These days, people are spending more and more time in front of their computer. The vast majority of people spend their entire work day sitting at their desk and only go when they go to lunch or get a paper from the printer. All this sitting eventually causes your lower back to become stiff and sometimes painful.
The Advantages of Standing
You can force your body to do more work by using a standing desk. In this way, you are less prone to having a terrible posture as long as you do not lean on the desk for support. Also, it is much simpler to go for a quick walk, stretch your legs or simply get some motion going in those hips. This will get more blood flowing in your muscles and will keep you alert for longer.
An Adjustable Desk
Even better than a standing desk is a desk which you can adjust between standing and sitting. This allows you to change your working position several times a day. This is excellent since your legs might not be used to standing for long periods. If your legs get tired, simply adjust your desk to the sitting position and give your feet a rest. Varying your position several times a day might get your colleagues looking but it is worth it when they complain about their sore backs later in the day.
Conclusion
Basically, the human body was not meant to sit all day. Therefore, any reason you can find to go your body during the day helps. Standing rather than sitting is one thing that has worked for me and I really recommend that you try it.

Was trimming hedges last weekend and was stung on the face by a hornet. I later found the nest in the hedge and delt with it. Lucky for me, we had some insect sting medication which eased the pain. Looking for some household item incase no meds are available.

I have been in pain management for 4 months now and have not had one problem until this month, and go figure, this is the month that I have to see my dr before he will give me anymore refills. I had kidney stones and my oxycontin and percocets weren’t touching the pain, so I went to the ER and got injected dilaudid for the pain. Will this show up differently than the pain meds i’ve already been prescribed by my Dr?

I go to concerts frequently, and after about thirty minutes of standing my lower back is radiating with pain. I can always take Advil for pain relief, but is there anything else I can do? Should I wear any specific type of shoe? Thanks for your advice!
