How to Mend Your Arthritis Pain Relief

This arthritis affects the spine, hips, heart, lungs and heels, which is chronic, painful and progressive. Ankylosing spondylitis can eventually cause fusion of the spine in those of genetic predisposition. Typical symptoms affect males between the ages of 15-30 consisting of chronic pain and stiffness in the lower back and fatigue. Children as young as three may experience knee pain often misinterpreted as rheumatisms. Generally, X-ray tests will show indications of any spinal changes and sacroilitiis characteristic to ankylosing spondylitis. Aromatherapy is one form of arthritis treatment, using a variety of essential oils. They can be added to the bath, massaged into the skin, inhaled or applied as compresses. The right mixture of essential oils will help to relax, promote pain relief and alleviate fatigue. Essential oils can also provide psychological benefits like improving the mood and reducing anxiety. Rheumatoid arthritis, the second most common form of arthritis, affects other parts of the body besides the joints. It starts at a younger age than osteoarthritis, causes swelling and redness in joints, and may make people feel sick, tired, and (uncommonly) feverish. Rheumatoid arthritis affects people differently. For some people, it lasts only a few months or a year or two and goes away without causing any noticeable hurt. Other people have mild or moderate forms of the disease, with periods of worsening symptoms, called flares, and periods in which they feel better, called remissions. Still others have a severe form of the disease that is active most of the time, lasts for many years or a lifetime, and leads to serious joint hurt and disability. But there is a product called Cetyl Myristoleate and is made from a form of fatty acid which can be found both naturally in plants and animal tissue. It forms part of the precursor to the prostaglandin hormone, which regulates a number of the body’s functions including pain relief and reduction of inflammation to the body. What this product does like any essential fatty acid is that it provides the body with pain relief and also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into several points around the body. These acupuncture points are often near to the site of your arthritis pain and may be very tender to touch before the needle is inserted. Other acupuncture points used for arthritis pain relief may be quite a way distant from the affected joint – acupuncturists usually call these areas distal points. It depends on the particular style of practice used by your acupuncture specialist but you should expect to have anything between two and twenty needles inserted each time you go for arthritis pain relief treatment by acupuncture. Herbs and supplements are the natural remedies that more people are turning to for a complementary therapy to an arthritis treatment. Although most people that suffer from arthritis know that there is no real cure for it, do know there are other arthritis treatments, like this one, that will help control the pain and other symptoms by taking a supplement or an extract. This is done in combination with the medications being taken and prescribed by the doctor. It is best to question questions about this arthritis treatment with your doctor, pharmacist or other health care professional for their recommendations and opinions.
