For the past couple of months I have been suffering from back and neck pain. . . I want to seek medical help but I don’t really know what kind of docktor should I consult??

This is not an simple question. First of all, I would say to go to your regular doctor and get an evaluation. He or she will be able to recommend which type you need to see. If you feel you have been injured in some way, then it will probably be an Orthopedic. IF you are having pain, but don’t recall an injury, you may need to see a Neurologist. Any of the doctors you see will be able to prescribe you some diagnostic test to be done..whether it be MRI, CT Scan, or just some simple Xrays. After the results come back you will be able to receive proper treatment. Make sure you specify to the doctor how long this pain has been going on and what factors in your life you reckon may be causing it. Doc’s are busy and can sometimes be quick with you if they reckon you aren’t in a dire situation. Be in control and be persistent if you don’t like the direction the visit is going. I thought that I had minor back and neck pain and finished up getting a diagnosis that will affect me for life. I hope that yours is something very minimal and you feel in top shape very soon.

You should go to a orthepedic surgeon for the back and neck pain to see if they can find a cause. Possibly consult a pain specialist as well. Best of luck.
